The apartment hotel is an ideal solution for business travellers. A private room in which to sleep, work or eat on the run… but it’s still a hotel, with the usual uniformity and anonymity.
At La maison d’Angélique, your double room (Queensize bed), with its bathroom, desk, storage space, linen of course, fibre/ethernet connection, TV & Netflix, quality soundproofing… it’s almost like a hotel room, just a stone’s throw from the TGV. A ‘natural’ style and a comfortable space, with a few discreet evocations of Niort, the Marais Poitevin and its poetic world.
Comfort aside, our aim is not to offer just another aparthotel next to Niort station. Our aim is to encourage conviviality and friendly encounters between professional travellers and visitors from different backgrounds, according to their needs and availability, of course.

L'Angelique
In our appart hotel, the name of your room evokes the largest known aromatic plant in the world, Angelica Archangelica. Niort and the Marais Poitevin are its birthplace.
The Niort Angelica is particularly famous, helping to beautify the surroundings of the Green Venice of the Marais Poitevin. Angelica has many popular nicknames: ” Root of the Holy Spirit “, ” angel-grass “, ” fairy-grass “, …
The plant’s virtues are said to have been revealed by the archangel Raphael (” God heals “), from whom it takes its name.
Alexandre Dumas in his Dictionnaire de Kitchen describes it as follows: “Aromatic plant, native to Syria, and which grows along the rivers that border the mountains. (…)The best angelica is made in Niort, where the tradition and formulas used by the nuns of the Visitation de Sainte-Marie to make this excellent conserve have been piously kept. “
Hildegarde de Bingen praised the power of angelica : Its medicinal properties are innumerable. Toning, depurative, vulnerary, it stimulates the digestive system, helps concentration and relaxation before exams.

Our host were so welcoming and friendly. Fantastic location, near the station.
Also perfect for work, with a lounge for small business meetings.
